1. Introduction & Identity
This Privacy Policy explains how LegalDraft Technologies LLC, in partnership with Muroff, Milestone & Milestone, P.A. ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our platform at DraftCounsel.io and LegalDraftPro.ai (the "Platform"), including our web application, mobile applications, and the DraftCounsel AI guide (collectively, the "Services").
Our Platform provides Florida estate planning self-help document preparation services. By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
Personal identification: name, address, email address
Estate planning intake data: family details, asset information, beneficiary designations, and other data you enter to generate estate planning documents
DraftCounsel conversations: questions and responses exchanged with our AI guide
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
IP address: stored only as a one-way SHA-256 hash — we cannot reverse it to identify your actual IP address
Browser type and version
Device type and operating system
2.3 Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never receive, store, or have access to your full credit card number. Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. Please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.
3. How We Use Your Information
Generate estate planning documents based on the information you provide
Provide DraftCounsel AI guidance to help you understand your options
Process payments for services and attorney review
Facilitate attorney review of your documents by Muroff, Milestone & Milestone attorneys, if you purchase that service
Improve the Platform — analyze usage patterns to enhance features, performance, and user experience
Comply with legal obligations including applicable Florida and federal law
Communicate with you about your account, documents, and service updates
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only with the following parties, and only as necessary to provide the Services:
Muroff, Milestone & Milestone, P.A. — attorneys who review your estate planning documents if you purchase attorney review services
Supabase, Inc. — secure database hosting with encryption at rest and in transit
Anthropic, PBC — AI processing; DraftCounsel conversations are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate responses
Stripe, Inc. — payment processing
Vercel, Inc. — web application hosting
We do NOT sell your personal data. Ever.
We do NOT share your data with marketing or advertising third parties.
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
5. Data Retention
Estate planning intake data: retained until you request deletion, or for up to 7 years (consistent with legal and tax record-keeping standards), whichever is shorter upon request
AI conversation data: retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted
IP hash data: automatically deleted after 73 hours
Payment records: retained in accordance with Stripe's policies and applicable legal requirements
Account data: retained for the life of your account, unless you request deletion
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
Deletion — request deletion of your personal data (right to be forgotten), subject to legal retention requirements
Data export — request a portable copy of your data in a common format
Opt out of AI conversation logging — request that your DraftCounsel conversations not be retained beyond the active session

7. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@legaldraftpro.ai.
8. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including:
Encryption at rest and in transit via Supabase infrastructure
IP addresses stored as one-way SHA-256 hashes only — the original IP cannot be recovered
PCI-DSS compliant payment processing via Stripe — card data never touches our servers
Access controls and monitoring to restrict data access to authorized personnel
Secure hosting on Vercel's infrastructure with HTTPS enforced
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. AI and Automated Processing
DraftCounsel is an AI-powered guide designed to help you understand estate planning concepts. It is not an attorney and does not provide legal advice.
Conversations with DraftCounsel are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI. Your conversation data is sent to Anthropic to generate responses.
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
We use localStorage (browser local storage) to maintain session state — this is not a cookie and is not transmitted to our servers.
We do not use advertising trackers.
We do not engage in cross-site tracking.
We do not currently use third-party analytics. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
11. Florida-Specific Disclosures
The Platform provides self-help document preparation services as permitted under Florida law. Use of the Platform does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and LegalDraft Technologies LLC.
If you purchase attorney review services, the attorney-client relationship is between you and Muroff, Milestone & Milestone, P.A., subject to their separate engagement terms.
The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely upon advertisements. Before you decide, ask us to send you free written information about our qualifications and experience.
12. Apple App Store Apps
Our mobile applications, available on the Apple App Store, collect the same categories of information described in this policy. Apple's own privacy practices apply to your use of the App Store and Apple's services. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information about data Apple collects through App Store distribution.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on the Platform and updating the "Last Updated" date. We may also notify you by email for significant changes. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
